On my third day in Africa, I visited Kirstenbosch Gardens which reminded me of Longwood Gardens at home. I took the guided shuttle tour which was a great way to see the whole of the grounds, after which I walked about on my own. Looking at the flowers and the birds, I was struck by how much of the aesthetic that I normally associate with various Africa art is mirrored in the landscape, flora, and fauna of the region.

During my first layover in London, I walked along the Thames River to the Tate Modern Art Museum. While I took lots of photos of the artwork in the museum for my own documentation, I took some shots on the way there and the way back to someday hang in a gallery. London was charming, full of beautiful elements of design, and I was fortunate to have a warm sunny day for my adventure.
